Overview

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team to develop and manage the overall user experience for our hero product, the BitMEX trading platform.  As a Product Designer, your first key task is to elevate the mobile product experience for our traders. You'll need to work closely with product managers, engineers and the commercial teams to roll out new features and improve the customer experience. Also, you'll have the opportunity to expand your role as we increase our product offerings.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate product requirements and user flows into user-friendly mobile interfaces for iOS and Android.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI specifications that clearly communicate design intent to non-designers.
  • Champion the principles of mobile-first design, ensuring a seamless and optimized experience across a range of screen sizes and resolutions.
  • Design and define intuitive and innovative gesture-based interactions to enhance usability and create a fluid user experience.
  • Stay at the forefront of mobile UI trends, patterns, and technologies, and be a vocal advocate for their application within the BitMEX platform.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering team to iterate on and refine UI elements based on user feedback and performance data.
  • Regularly present design solutions and prototypes to the broader Retail Product team and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX/UI experience, within trading, financial products or from a fintech platform.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Experience across multiple technologies, locations, and channels, mobile app experience is essential 
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate and defend your design decisions.
  • Exceptional visual design skills, with a sharp eye for detail, color, typography, and layout.
  • Derivative trading knowledge is highly desirable.
