About favorited

At favorited, we believe that digital communities should be more than just spaces to watch content. Our platform is a place to connect, engage, and play, and empowers creators by enhancing audience participation and fostering deeper connections.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. We value open, yet respectful communication and real-time feedback to help each other grow quickly. If you’re passionate about gaming and have a knack for gamifying everyday life, you’ll thrive in our fast-moving, collaborative environment.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Clipping Lead with a strong background in clipping and social growth/strategy to help build favorited’s presence across social platforms.

This is not a traditional social media role. We’re looking for someone who understands how to identify the moments worth sharing, turn them into highly engaging clips, and distribute them at scale. You should have experience leading clipping campaigns for social brands, understand how social algorithms work, and ideally have an established network of clippers who can help turn great moments into millions of views.

You live online, understand meme culture instinctively, and know the difference between something that is simply funny and something that has the potential to spread.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute large-scale clipping campaigns designed to drive views, engagement, awareness, and audience growth.

  • Identify high-potential moments from livestreams, creators, community interactions, and platform activity that can become compelling social content.

  • Build systems and workflows for consistently producing and distributing high volumes of social clips.

  • Recruit, manage, and activate a network of clippers who can create and distribute content across social platforms.

  • Develop relationships with high-performing clippers and continuously expand the clipping network.

  • Create clear clipping briefs, guidelines, formats, and creative direction to help clippers produce content that feels native to each platform.

  • Understand and optimize for the algorithms across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, and emerging platforms.

  • Analyze content performance and identify the formats, hooks, creators, moments, and distribution strategies that drive outsized reach.

  • Rapidly iterate on clipping strategies based on views, watch time, engagement, shares, and follower growth.

  • Stay constantly connected to internet culture, memes, trends, creators, gaming, and livestreaming to identify opportunities before they become mainstream.

  • Partner with creators, social, marketing, and community teams to amplify important moments and campaigns.

  • Help develop a repeatable social growth engine that can consistently put favorited content in front of millions of viewers.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience developing and managing clipping campaigns at scale.

  • Experience working with a social brand, creator, streamer, gaming organization, media company, or similar high-volume content environment.

  • A track record of using clips to drive meaningful views, engagement, and channel growth.

  • An existing network of clippers is highly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of how social algorithms determine distribution and reach.

  • Strong understanding of what makes content earn the first view, retain attention, generate engagement, and ultimately get shared.

  • Experience across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X/Twitter, and other social platforms.

  • Strong instincts for identifying moments that have viral potential.

  • Highly analytical and comfortable using performance data to inform creative and distribution decisions.

  • Excellent understanding of meme culture, internet communities, gaming culture, and livestreaming.

  • Extremely online—constantly aware of what is trending, what is emerging, and what people are talking about.

  • Ability to move quickly and capitalize on trends while they are still relevant.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly when working with creators and independent clippers.

  • Self-starter who can build a program from the ground up and operate with significant autonomy.

What Stands Out
  • You’ve built or scaled a clipping program from the ground up.

  • You have a large, active network of clippers who consistently produce high-performing content.

  • You’ve helped a brand, creator, streamer, or community generate millions or billions of organic views.

  • You understand the difference between content that performs on TikTok versus YouTube Shorts versus Instagram versus X.

  • You can look at a livestream and immediately identify the 5–10 moments that have viral potential.

  • You understand that successful clipping isn't just about finding a funny moment—it's about the hook, edit, caption, timing, platform, distribution, and cultural context.

  • You have strong meme literacy and an instinctive understanding of what the internet will care about next.

  • You’re passionate about gaming, livestreaming, creators, and social media.

Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Building a large, reliable network of clippers capable of producing high-quality content at scale.

  • Establishing a repeatable clipping engine that consistently generates high-performing content.

  • Driving significant increases in views, engagement, followers, and awareness across favorited’s social channels.

  • Consistently identifying and capitalizing on trends before competitors.

  • Turning moments happening inside favorited into internet-wide cultural moments,

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
