About Us

The search bar is becoming a conversation. Brands need to know how to get found by AI, and that's what we do. Yolando is the platform that helps marketers understand and improve how AI models discover, cite, and recommend their brand.

We've raised $8.5M from Drive Capital. We're 12 people building the standard for Generative Engine Optimization.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Client Success Lead to own the success of our client portfolio and become the strategic engine behind their AI visibility. This is a role we've built and proven from the inside, and you'll step into it with a working playbook and the mandate to make it your own.

You'll manage a portfolio of clients who meet with us on a biweekly basis. Your job is to make clients successful, give them a great experience, deliver real results, and grow their AI visibility. Retention is the byproduct. In practice, that means improving their GEO outcomes. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the work of getting AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to discover, cite, and recommend a brand when people ask them questions. You'll get fluent in the Yolando platform, read the signal in the data we collect, and turn it into recommendations that measurably move how often these models surface our clients.

You'll work hand-in-hand with our content marketer to drive the flywheel: creating content engineered to get cited by AI models, measuring whether it worked, and doubling down on what does. You'll manage timelines, expectations, and stakeholders, and you'll lead executive reviews that show clients what we've shipped, how they're performing, and where we go next. The best person in this seat will also spot where a client needs more than they're buying and help us grow the relationship.

What You'll Do
  • Own retention and GEO outcomes: Be accountable for keeping your client portfolio and measurably improving their AI visibility, meaning how often LLMs discover, cite, and recommend their brand. These are your core KPIs.

  • Run the client relationship: Lead biweekly engagements across your accounts, managing expectations, timelines, and stakeholders from individual contributors up to senior marketing leadership.

  • Turn platform data into strategy: Analyze the data Yolando collects to diagnose gaps, prioritize opportunities, and make clear, defensible recommendations clients can act on.

  • Drive the content flywheel: Partner with our content marketer to plan and produce content engineered to get cited by LLMs, then measure its impact and iterate based on what the data tells you.

  • Build and scale playbooks: Identify the strategies and workflows that consistently move outcomes across accounts, codify them into repeatable best practices, and productionize them so the whole client base benefits, not just one account.

  • Deliver executive reporting: Lead executive-level reviews that translate completed work and performance into a clear narrative, plus a sharp point of view on what to do next.

  • Master the tooling: Become an expert user of the Yolando platform and the AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) that make the work faster and better.

  • Grow the account: Identify unmet needs and surface opportunities to expand the scope of services we deliver to each client.

Who You Are
  • Ideally you have 3 - 7 years of experience (e.g., management consulting, client success, project management)

  • Client-facing operator: You've owned relationships and outcomes for a book of clients (customer success, account management, strategy, or consulting), ideally in B2B SaaS, an agency, or a high-growth environment.

  • Comfortable in the data: You can dig into a platform's data, find the story, and translate quantitative findings into recommendations a non-technical stakeholder can act on.

  • A native AI user: You already work with Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools day-to-day, not as a curiosity but as part of how you operate.

  • A strong communicator and storyteller: You can lead a room with a CMO or VP Marketing, present with conviction, and adapt your message to the audience.

  • An organized owner: You manage timelines, expectations, and multiple stakeholders without dropping balls, and you take work end-to-end without being asked.

  • Outcome-oriented: You measure yourself by retention and results, not activity.

  • Builder mentality: You're comfortable with ambiguity and energized by shaping a role and a function as the company grows.

  • Genuinely curious about AI search: You want to understand how GEO and AEO actually work, and where the space is heading.

Bonus if You Have
  • Experience with GEO or AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), or LLM-focused marketing strategies.

  • A background in content marketing or SEO, and an understanding of how content earns visibility.

  • A track record of identifying and closing expansion or upsell opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Previous experience as an early hire at a high-growth startup.

Why Join Us?
  • Join an innovative, fast-growing startup building cutting-edge AI marketing solutions.

  • Make a meaningful impact by owning client outcomes and shaping how a category-defining function operates.

  • A dynamic environment with real ownership, learning, and growth.

  • Competitive salary and support for professional development.

How to Apply
  • Please send your resume and a brief note about why you're interested in joining us. Please be thoughtful and do not send us a boilerplate AI-generated response.

  • We'd love to see your work and hear your story.

  • This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in our downtown Toronto office.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
