Job Summary & Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Account Management experience in a relevant industry with large commercial or enterprise customers.
  • 5+ years of experience managing/leading a sales book of business ($10M+ in Revenue).
  • A level of technical expertise across the Sports & Entertainment technology environments listed above (venue networking, DAS, private 5G, IPTV/signage, broadcast workflows, streaming, and Enterprise IT).
  • Ability to work independently and solve customer-facing problems.
  • Track record of successful solution selling.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • Strong relationships within key customer network organizations with the ability to influence decision making.

  • Knowledge of Sports & Entertainment customer deployment strategies, vendor selection processes, and integration-partner selection for venue modernization, broadcast, and fan-experience projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Sports & Entertainment customer technology environments, with the ability to position WWT’s key strengths in venue and broadcast services, event-day operations, digital fan engagement, and future opportunities as defined in RFI / RFP / RFQ processes.
  • Strong vendor and partner relationships across the Sports & Entertainment ecosystem — OEMs, broadcast/media technology partners, connectivity providers, and integration partners — with the ability to help select the right partners for successful deployments.
  • Extensive knowledge of customer stakeholders within the targeted Sports & Entertainment organizations — venue technology, broadcast operations, digital and fan experience, IT, and executive leadership — with existing relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Location flexible; proximity to a major Sports & Entertainment hub city preferred based on assigned customers.

  • Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000 + commission. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

As a Client Manager you will lead WWT sales efforts with large Sports & Entertainment customers — including professional sports leagues and franchises, stadiums and arenas, broadcasters, OTT and streaming platforms, live event producers, and venue and theme park operators. Armed with the expertise of our sales engineering team, you'll build and nurture relationships with our customer leaders, identify gaps within the customers technical environment and deliver state of the art solutions in areas such as Infrastructure Modernization, Multicloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy. With our Advanced Technology Center and Platform (https://www.wwt.com/atc) at your fingertips for briefings, training, workshops, demos and POC's you'll be delivering best in class results for your customers.

 

What will you be doing?

The Client Manager will sell broad technical services, solutions, and products to our customers. Day to day responsibilities will include building meaningful relationships within a territory, leading customer sales meetings and presentations, and bringing customer requests to the WWT technical teams for scoping. The Client Manager will team with engineers and architects, as well as subject matter experts to truly provide expertise and value. The ability to listen, learn and understand broad technical solutions is required as you look to provide value to our customers on cutting edge technologies. This position will require the ability to travel up to 25+%.

The Client Manager needs to have experience in the following areas:

  • Selling to Sports & Entertainment customers — leagues, teams, venues, broadcasters, OTT/streaming platforms, or live event producers.
  • Sports & Entertainment technology environments, including venue IT and OT (networking, high-density Wi-Fi, DAS, private 5G), broadcast and media production workflows (IP-based video, NDI, SMPTE 2110), IPTV and digital signage, low-latency streaming, and CDN and content distribution.
  • Deploying new technology solutions that impact live-event, broadcast, and fan-experience operations — including venue modernization, digital transformation, and content workflow evolution for Sports & Entertainment customers.
  • Business case development and execution with both short-term and long-term revenue growth impact.
  • Understanding the operational realities of live-event, broadcast, and venue technology environments — including event-driven scaling, zero-downtime tolerance, on-site engineering presence, and the ability to engage credibly with venue operations, broadcast, and content teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Position WWT capabilities and service offerings with client business and technology objectives.
  • Managing large and complex sales opportunities with Sports & Entertainment customers (leagues, teams, venues, broadcasters, and live event producers)
  • Acts in a consultative fashion and is highly regarded by the customers and partners (OEMs).
  • Effective at working with cross functional teams to develop business relevant solutions for our customers and partners.
  • Develop and execute account strategy.
  • Lead high impact team of inside sales, technology specialists, and consultants.
  • Create and drive sales campaigns from discovery to close.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-making leaders at targeted clients.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and forecast accurately.
