Job Description:

A Capture Manager is a crucial role in business development, responsible for leading the efforts to win a specific business opportunity, typically a government contract, by developing and executing winning strategies and proposals. They act as a strategic leader, guiding the entire capture process from initial identification to final proposal submission. 

  • Manage Capture Team:
    Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams, solution architects, and teaming partners, to ensure a cohesive and effective capture effort. 
  • Conduct Market Research:
    Analyze the competitive landscape, understand customer needs, and identify key buying criteria. 
  • Develop and Deliver Proposals:
    Ensure proposals are well-written, compelling, and aligned with the customer's requirements and win themes. 
  • Manage Client Relationships:
    Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to build trust and secure a winning position. 
  • Track and Analyze Results:
    Monitor the progress of the capture process and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Sales Teams:
    Align capture efforts with the company's overall business development strategy and sales objectives. 
  • Lead Capture Efforts:
    Oversee all stages of the capture process, including strategy development, proposal preparation, and client engagement. 
  • Develop Winning Strategies:
    Formulate capture plans, identify win themes, and develop compelling value propositions to differentiate the company from competitors.

  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills:

    Ability to motivate and lead a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and present complex information clearly. 
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving:

    Ability to analyze complex situations, develop effective strategies, and anticipate potential challenges. 
  • Excellent Project Management Skills:

    Ability to organize, manage, and track the capture process, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Deep Understanding of the Procurement Process:

    Familiarity with government procurement regulations and best practices. 
  • Experience with Proposals and Bid Management:

    Proven ability to develop winning proposals and manage the bid submission process. 
  • Ability to Work with Teaming Partners:

    Strong interpersonal skills and experience in building and maintaining relationships with external partners. 
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent:

    A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is typically required. 

    Annual Pay Range:

    104,000 - 130,000 USD
