Position SummaryThe Church Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of churches to ensure they remain active, supported, and growing in their response to children and families in crisis.This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned churches, providing ongoing support, guidance, and communication to increase engagement and retention. While Network Development builds relationships in person and drives growth, this role focuses on sustaining and strengthening engagement over time, primarily through virtual communication.

Success in this role is defined by increased participation, responsiveness, and meaningful connection within the assigned portfolio. Network health metrics, scorecards and KPIs will be utilized to help gauge performance, however, success in this role will be measured across all of the responsibilities listed below.

Your Responsibilities Include:

Portfolio Management

  • Manage a defined portfolio of churches, providing consistent communication and support
  • Monitor activity and proactively engage churches to increase participation
  • Reinforce behaviors that lead to sustained engagement and requests met

 

Church Support

  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships through ongoing communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for questions, guidance, and support
  • Resolve most customer issues directly in a timely and effective manner
  • Coordinate with Platform Support for more technical issues when needed

 

Increased Engagement Rate

  • Monitor engagement metrics and identify opportunities to increase usage
  • Support churches in setting goals and improving response activity
  • Encourage and track meaningful connection stories

 

 

Process Consistency & Improvement

  • Follow established engagement processes and standards
  • Provide feedback to improve engagement tools and playbooks content
  • Support efforts to increase efficiency and scalability in engagement
     

Coordination & Alignment

  • Receive new churches from Onboarding for engagement support
  • Maintain awareness of Network Development activity within assigned markets
  • Ensure accurate tracking of communication and activity in CRM
  • Support ecosystem balance through participation in Network Leader facilitated strategy meetings to identify, discuss and solve issues and opportunities.  

 

Request Monitoring & Response Activation

  • Support churches through response team development and church leader buy-in to achieve sustainable network impact
  • Monitor unmet requests within assigned portfolio and take proactive action to increase responses by engaging churches to encourage timely responses
  • Collaborate with other Engagement Specialists to support shared outcomes across markets

  • Comfortable engaging and supporting diverse faith communities and denominations
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead virtual training sessions
  • Ability to guide customers through structured processes with clarity and confidence
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Comfort with virtual training environments and technology platforms
  • Ability to balance efficiency with a positive, supportive customer experience
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools preferred
  • Ability to follow defined processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
