OVERVIEW OF POSITION

Notre Dame High School is seeking a choreographer for its 2027 Spring Musical. The Choreographer will be responsible for the following:

  • Fully choreograph all songs/numbers associated with production identified by the Director as being the responsibility of the choreographer

  • Fully plan each dance prior to its scheduled rehearsal day to ensure a clear vision is presented to the students to learn.

  • Work with the Director to generate a full choreography rehearsal calendar which outlines which songs will be taught on which days, along with identifying any and all review days and tech rehearsal note days. The full calendar, ranging from January 2027 to March 2027, should be completed and available to the students no later than January 4th, 2027.

  • Meet with the Director prior to student dance days  to confer about the plans for each dance to ensure all choreography is in line with the overall tone and style of the production

  • Attend auditions on Tuesday December 8th, for the purposes of appraising auditioners and leading dance-specific elements of the process, including teaching a small dance combo to a song from the production to the auditioners.
