Company Overview

At Wider Circle, we connect neighbors for better health.  Wider Circle’s groundbreaking Connect For Life program brings communities and healthcare together in-person and on-line for health, wellness, and social activities that improve mental and physical health.  We create webs of community circles by employing local and culturally competent engagement specialists whose hands-on approach is informed by a sophisticated analytics platform.  We are on a mission to make the world a better place for older adults and disadvantaged communities.

About the Role

Wider Circle's Delivery organization operates Care Delivery, Community and Benefits programs that serve more than 50,000 members across the US. As Chief of Staff to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), you'll be the CDO's strategic right hand — running the operating rhythm of the organization, driving executive-level initiatives, and helping launch new business lines, client programs, and partnerships as the company grows.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to sit at the center of a fast-growing healthcare delivery organization as we scale from $20M to $100M in annual revenue.  You’ll help translate strategy into execution, and build the systems that let leadership make faster, better-informed decisions.

What You'll Do

Assist in running the operating rhythm

  • Own the cadence of quarterly planning, business reviews, KPI tracking, and forecasting for the Delivery organization
  • Build the executive dashboards leadership uses to track operational, financial, and organizational performance in real time
  • Lead executive performance reviews that drive accountability across the org
  • Partner with the CDO to translate enterprise strategy into actionable operational plans, helping drive execution of enterprise priorities while navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities with sound judgment.

Support driving strategic initiatives

  • Lead or coordinate strategic initiatives and special projects that span multiple business lines or require executive sponsorship.
  • Coordinate operational readiness across Operations, Product, and Technology for new clients, acquisitions, and evolving delivery models
  • Identify risks and resolve cross-functional roadblocks before they slow down execution
  • Support business line leaders in achieving operational, financial, quality, and growth objectives by proactively identifying risks, resolving cross-functional issues, and improving execution.

Partner with business line leaders

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business line leaders — helping prioritize initiatives, solve complex operational problems, and remove barriers to execution
  • Apply process-improvement methods (Lean Six Sigma or equivalent) to standardize and scale operations across Delivery
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change management as the org evolves
  • Develop governance processes that enable scalable execution across current and future business lines.
  • Assist in supporting SOPs and processes across delivery organizations

RequirementsWhat You Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, managed care, or related service-delivery organizations — spanning both operations and data/analytics
  • Operational oversight experience, including running operations and designing workflows, dashboards and KPIs.
  • Direct experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or population health programs
  • A track record of designing and scaling complex programs under tight timelines
  • Strong skills in KPI development, executive dashboarding, and data-driven decision-making
  • Process-improvement expertise (Lean Six Sigma or equivalent) with measurable results
  • Executive-level communication skills — comfortable preparing board materials and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or PMP a plus

Benefits
  • Base pay range: $130,000-150,000
  • Annual bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k) Plan
  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Health Care FSA
  • Dependent Care FSA
  • Health Savings Account
  • Voluntary Disability Benefits
  • Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Adoption Assistance Program

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
