Position Summary ​The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is an enterprise business executive who provides strategic leadership for all technology, data, digital, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence functions across Living Spaces. The CIO is responsible for shaping and executing an enterprise technology strategy that enables business growth, operational excellence, innovation, workforce productivity, and exceptional guest experience. This role partners closely with executive and operational leaders to align technology investments with company priorities, drive enterprise transformation, and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions across retail stores, eCommerce, supply chain, manufacturing, delivery, and corporate operations.
The CIO develops high-performing leaders, builds organizational capability, and leverages emerging technologies, data, automation, and AI to create measurable business value, accelerate innovation, and strengthen Living Spaces' competitive advantage.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful contributions to enterprise strategy, growth initiatives, and business planning.
  • Develop and execute a technology, data, and digital vision that enables Living Spaces' strategic objectives and operational priorities.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of all technology platforms supporting stores, eCommerce, supply chain, manufacturing, delivery, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and the guest experience.
  • Lead enterprise cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery programs to protect company assets and operations.
  • Establish governance, performance metrics, and accountability processes to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.
  • Maintain a strong external network and awareness of emerging technology, retail, consumer, and digital trends to help anticipate future opportunities, inform enterprise strategy, and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Simplify systems, processes, and technology architectures to reduce complexity, improve effectiveness, and support long-term scalability.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing technology leadership team while creating succession depth, strengthening leadership capability at all levels, and establishing a sustainable pipeline of future technology leaders.
  • Responsible for organizational design, succession planning, talent development, performance management, and overall effectiveness of the technology organization.
  • Oversee technology budgets, vendor relationships, and capital investments to ensure responsible stewardship of resources and achievement of business objectives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital, data, artificial intelligence, and operating model transformation initiatives that drive business growth, innovation, workforce productivity, customer experience, and measurable enterprise value.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: Experience providing executive leadership and direction across all technology functions, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, digital platforms, data and analytics, project management, and technology support teams. Demonstrated ability to serve as an enterprise business leader, contributing meaningfully to corporate strategy, growth initiatives, operating plans, and executive decision-making beyond the technology function. Responsible for organizational design, succession planning, talent development, performance management, and overall effectiveness of the technology organization. Success in this role is measured by building a high-performing technology organization that delivers operational excellence, measurable business value, future-ready innovation, and sustainable leadership strength.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 10 years leading large-scale enterprise technology organizations. Significant retail industry experience required. Prior experience as a Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Senior Vice President, or Vice President of Technology within a retail organization preferred. Proven experience leading enterprise technology transformation, digital initiatives, cybersecurity programs, and large-scale operational technology environments. Experience supporting omnichannel retail environments including stores, eCommerce, distribution, delivery, and corporate operations.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire.  Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.  Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time. 

Compensation: -

Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members.  Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
