Owns the organization’s business intelligence environment, including Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, refreshes, workspaces, access, and data pipelines. Join Infusion For Health as an IT Business Systems Manager!

Infusion for Health is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri. Our center is unique and offers individual comfortable private rooms for our patients. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the administration of infusion therapy in a comfortable, patient-focused environment by providing exemplary professional clinical care.

The Business Systems Manager owns how Infusion for Health turns its data into reporting the business can act on: the pipelines that bring data in from our own systems and from outside vendors, the Power BI environment those reports live in, and the answers internal teams come looking for.

We expect this work to be done through AI tooling, not around it. We are looking for someone who already directs AI tools to produce queries, models, reports and scripts, and who gets a great deal more done that way than by hand. That raises the bar on data skills rather than lowering it: you have to know SQL, and know our data, well enough to specify the work precisely, read what comes back critically, and catch it when it is wrong before anyone downstream acts on it. What we are paying for is the judgement and the verification, not the typing.

Compensation: $90,000k-$100,000k per year + Benefits.

This role is fully remote. Ability to work PST hours as needed highly preferred

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong SQL. Able to write and debug queries against a large production database, and to judge whether a result is plausible before it leaves your hands.
  • Power BI at the level of owning the environment, not just authoring in it: models, DAX, refreshes, workspaces, access.
  • Fluent working through AI tooling. You already use AI assistants to produce queries, models, reports and scripts, and you review and test what they produce rather than trusting it.
  • Comfortable with APIs and integrations: pulling data from vendor APIs, handling scheduled files and feeds, and understanding how data moves between systems.
  • Able to read and work in C#, which our internal Portal is built in. You will not be its primary developer, but you will need to follow what it does with data.
  • Clear written communication with non-technical staff. Able to say what a number means and what it does not.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for internal teams, from the first conversation about what is needed through to a report people actually use.
  • Own the Power BI environment: keep datasets, refreshes, workspaces and access current, fix refreshes when they break, and retire reports that no longer earn their place.
  • Build, monitor and maintain the data pipelines that feed all of it, collecting and aggregating data from our clinical, billing and vendor systems into the central data warehouse.
  • Act as the key contact with external vendors on data agreements and data exchange: what we receive, what we send, in what format and on what schedule, and holding the vendor to it when a feed changes or breaks.
  • Collaborate with departments across the company to turn open questions into something measurable, and work with executives to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish KPIs that measure the effectiveness of business decisions, and present findings and recommendations to the people who will act on them.
  • Verify your own output. Any number that reaches a decision maker should be one you have checked against the source, whether you wrote the query yourself or directed a tool to write it.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years building and supporting data and reporting systems in daily use, including hands-on ownership of a BI environment and not report authoring alone.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
