This role sits at the heart of the organisation and is the linchpin between Billing & Finance, People and Design, Engineering & Product (DEP). This role owns and is responsible for all the Billing & Finance / People applications, including systems such as Zuora, Salesforce, Netsuite, Pigment, Rippling, Lattice and Lever to name a few.
This is a critical role in our business systems team, due to the large number of applications that make up the domain. This role will partner with the Finance & People teams (Ops and Leadership) to ensure applications are fit-for-purpose and are easily extendable for the future.
The role is responsible for project delivery, gathering requirements, designing the end-to-end solutions and driving delivery of the project, with the assistance of a team of engineers, 3rd party vendors and hands-on configuration of systems (where practical).
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leader for challenging and complex projects that impact on the domain
- Partner with various stakeholders, subject matter experts across the organisation
- Be the broad knowledge expert in the domain
- Lead and deliver projects, both from an architectural and hands-on perspective
- Present solutions to both technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the company
Skills & Experience
- 5 years working as a Solutions Designer (Technical BA, business systems engineer or equivalent) with particular focus on SaaS technologies and a billing focus - with particular experience with Zuora and Salesforce
- Be Hands on - writing solution designs, collaborating with others and getting into the systems to make changes
- Designing end-to-end solutions that meet business needs, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and integration capabilities
- Practical experience working with architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, Zachman or similar, allowing you to develop roadmaps/plans that align technology with business objectives
- Ability to influence others and drive decisions in a highly dynamic and customer-focused environment. Must have the ability to listen, understand and persuade
- Technical acumen and a strategic understanding of the essential systems used to support a SaaS organisation, which must include Salesforce and Zuora
- CPQ experience (nice to have)
- Certifications in Salesforce are a plus.
- Advanced SQL knowledge
- Java development experience would be a benefit
- TOGAF certification would be an advantage
