The Role
The Business Systems Analyst, HR Apps role is responsible for driving improvements in the processes and technologies supporting primarily our Employee Success (HR) Team, but also the global workforce @ Veeva. This role will work closely with Employee Success (ES) Business Operations leaders to effectively, manage, support, and implement solutions that meet ES & Veeva needs in the short and long term. As a BSA this role will be expected to continuously understand global business processes, work closely with stakeholders on the right solutions, and be an Employee Success go-to for collaboration and solution guidance within Workday, but also other platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with global ES teams, third party vendors, and internal IT resources to effectively implement global solutions of varying complexities
- Provide technical and functional expertise across Employee Success applications; primarily Workday HCM
- Build the foundation for project efforts by understanding and capturing the business context – problem & current state definition, objectives, business case, desired future state definition
- Develop detailed requirements (business, user, process, system requirements)
- Lead and execute full development lifecycle activities - design, configure, and testing in alignment with business requirements
- Work with engineering teams to build custom work & integrations
- Research and resolve issues, assisting in outlining enhancements, and maintaining the system
- Provide product support, track escalations, and work with business users to manage expectations
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, release notes, and conduct end-user training where appropriate
- Be forward thinking in leveraging new features, functions, and product enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Enterprise HRIS/HCM Implementation Experience
- Workday Core HCM Experience (or a comparable platform) in a configuration / delivery role
- (e.g. Internal BSA, Consultant)
- Strong Business Analysis skills including clear, concise verbal and written communication
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work on multiple activities with changing priorities
- Commitment to excellent customer service, speed, and learning
Nice to Have
- Global HRIS/HCM Implementation Experience (EU & Asia specifically)
- Experience with Absence Management, Benefits (US), and/or Prism
- Experience with Workday Integrations (Benefits, Payroll, Studio)
- Worked in an HR Function in some capacity
- Data Analytics experience; in Workday or via other visualization tools

Compensation
- Base pay: $70,000 - $110,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
