As a Business Management Manager Level 2 (Mid-Level Manager), your role at Redondo Beach, CA will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Ready to join forces with our visionary team? 

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Our Business Management Manager will have oversight for all program-related business management activities, including partnering with the Organizational Unit Director to ensure organizational financial goals are achieved, ensure superior financial performance and ensure the customer’s mission is achieved.  This role will be responsible for the management and development of a program control analyst team.

To be successful in this role there should be an advanced understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS); Federal Cost Principles including direct versus indirect, allowable vs. unallowable; Forward Pricing Rate proposals (FPRPs) development, negotiation and execution; understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), Financial Planning to include Annual Operating Plan development, budgeting and forecasting to include Capital expenditures and inventory. 

Your Role and Impact:

  • Lead a team of Program Control Analysts in executing a broad scope of business management activities to support program execution and compliance
  • Provide business oversight, interface with applicable stakeholders, customers and auditors (internal and external) and assist with Supplier Management Team needed to ensure sound business deals
  • Interface with diverse functional areas to ensure risks are understood and financial performance is achieved. 
  • Develop and motivate a productive staff in a team environment with excellent interpersonal, planning, presentation and organizational skills with focused emphasis on continuous process improvement
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of time
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of finance, accounting, business management or program control experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of finance, accounting, business management or program control experience
  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, and ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
  • Leadership experience or people management experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree and 10+ years of related aerospace industry experience
  • Intermediate, to advanced-level of understanding of the following systems or software is beneficial: COBRA (or similar project management software), SAP, S/4, Microsoft Excel, and Office Analysis
  • Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, Commercial contracts, or FAR
  • Working knowledge of Government financial CDRL’s
  • Experience working with Full Flow down Earned Value

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
