Job Summary

This role is designed for a highly analytical and curious professional who can transform complex, multi-source data into actionable business insights. Positi oned within Finance, the role partners cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, IT, and executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.

More than a traditional reporting role, this position requires a “business detective” mindset, investigating trends, developing hypotheses, and delivering data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring analyses are both accurate and operationally meaningful while driving process improvements and automation across the organization.

This position would report to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Primary Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Extract, integrate, and analyze data from ERP systems, process control/historian platforms, utility systems, and external sources
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, concise insights aligned with business needs
  • Apply operational and financial context to ensure accuracy and relevance of analysis
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations for all analyses
  • Evaluate relationships in data, distinguishing between correlation and causation

Investigation & Forecasting

  • Develop hypotheses and conduct analyses to identify key business drivers
  • Build foundational models and insights to support forecasting and predictive efforts
  • Proactively source, validate, and estimate data as needed from multiple systems

Communication & Presentation

  • Present findings through dashboards, visualizations, and executive-ready summaries
  • Communicate insights, risks, and recommendations with clarity and appropriate context
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Finance & Accounting Support

  • Align analytical outputs with financial structures such as general ledger and cost centers
  • Support FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Assist with core accounting functions such as reconciliations and journal entries as needed

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual reporting and workflows
  • Develop and implement automation tools, data pipelines, and validation processes

Operations & Project Support

  • Analyze operational performance including production, yield, capacity, and efficiency trends
  • Provide analytical support for capital projects, process improvements, and resource planning initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field
  • 2–5 years in business analysis, FP&A, data analytics, or a hybrid finance/analytics role
  • Manufacturing, food processing, or agriculture experience a plus
  • ERP Systems – Navigate  and extract data from enterprise ERP (Sage MAS 500 or similar)
  • SQL – Write complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions             
  • Power Bi – Build dashboards, DAX measures, and data models
  • Python – Data manipulation (pandas), automation scripting, basic statistical analysis
  • Excel – Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas, financial models

Nice to have:

  • CPA, CMA, or graduate degree (MBA, MS Analytics)
  • Experience with process historian/SCADA systems (e.g., Aveva Wonderware)
  • Familiarity with citrus processing, juice manufacturing, or CPG supply chains
  • Exposure to Git, dbt, or modern data stack tools
  • Experience building predictive or forecasting models
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to meet changing priorities and work under pressure.  Able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects such as PC’s and peripherals.  Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending and lifting heavy objects.

 

Compensation

Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually (bonus potential for achieving performance goals.)

Salary offers will vary and will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, education, skills, and certifications.
