Manage inbound sales for a revenue cycle management company serving dermatology practices. Qualify prospects, revisit stalled and lost opportunities, develop client referrals, and own deals from initial call through signed contract. The role requires disciplined pipeline management, persistent follow-up, competitive self-measurement, and strong customer focus. It is fully remote within the United States and involves direct daily work with the founder.

What Clarity is

Clarity RCM handles revenue cycle management for independent dermatology practices: billing, claims, collections, the whole back end that determines whether a practice actually gets paid for the work it does. We serve 200+ practices in 44 states and manage over $1B in annual collections. Inc. 5000 listed, up roughly 500% over two years. We are bootstrapped and profitable.

What the role is

Clarity currently has no sales team. All business had been inbound and the founder and CEO has personally handled every inbound call, quote and contract. This is the first hire against that problem. The role starts by taking on the front end of the sales process and grows into a fully additive seat. Initially, there is no cold calling or list of strangers to dial. Over time, this role will be a combination of inbound and outbound sales.

What you'll do

  • Work the inbound flow. Practices come to Clarity because something in their billing is broken. You qualify, understand what is actually happening inside that practice, and move them forward.
  • Work the backlog: closed-lost deals worth revisiting, half-completed forms, website visitors who never booked, conversations where the timing was wrong and may not be anymore. There is real revenue sitting in this pile that nobody has had time to touch.
  • Work referrals through the account management team. Our AMs speak with satisfied clients daily. No one has systematically asked those clients who else they know.
  • Own your deals end to end, from first call to signed contract. Know when to pull in the right resources, and proactively seek support when it will help move a deal forward.

Who you are

  • You have 2-3 years of work experience with medical practices. This might be as an BDR or office manager, practice manager or strong EA working in dermatology, or something adjacent: aesthetics, med spa, cosmetic dentistry, DSO/MSO, practice management, or medical billing.
  • You are ruthlessly organized. This is the non-negotiable. The job is a pipeline, and pipelines fail when someone forgets the follow-up on day 9.
  • You are competitive. You keep score. You look at your own numbers and think about what you would do differently.
  • You are persistent and find satisfaction in running the same loop better each time. You will get ghosted. You will hear the same three objections repeatedly. You will send the same follow-up for the fourth time.
  • You're customer obsessed. What we do is extremely important. You will do whatever it takes to ensure our clients are taken care of, even after the sale.

What we offer

Fully remote, US-based. Competitive salary plus on target earnings (OTE) and benefits. Bay Area not required.

Direct work with the founder, daily. This role exists to take work off his desk, which means you learn the business from the inside faster than you would in a company with three layers between you and the decisions.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
