The Business Development Specialist will manage new business relationships, conduct market research, organize product demonstrations, and exceed sales targets in the baking industry.

Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and maintain new business relationships and opportunities via cold calling, industry networking, and referrals
- Provide accurate forecasts and budgets for potential sales
- Organize product demonstrations in collaboration with our technical team
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge of our product range, technical knowledge, and product applications
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience/new business development; preferably in the baking/food/beverage industry
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Needs to be well organized and be able to be flexible with baking hours
- Proven track record of developing new sales opportunities, exceeding sales targets, and fostering relationships with key accounts
- Proven results in relationship building, negotiation skills, strategic insight, and concept thinking
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Driven to succeed, works independently, and has a strong ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability for overnight travel as needed - minimally 50%
- Valid US driver’s license and reliable means of transportation (car)
