Intec Automation is growing and, as a result, is looking to hire an experienced Regional Sales Manager to cover part of the East Coast, as well as the Mid-West.
Job Description:
The Business Development / Sales Manager will support Intec Automation in identifying customers in need of custom automated and robotic solutions for part assembly and packaging. The candidate will succeed by creating demand, developing winning sales strategies, and driving revenue growth by offering innovative solutions to high value manufacturers.. Through execution of the Sales & Marketing business plan you will work closely with new and existing customers, Intec leadership, applications engineering, project management and other staff to deliver solutions for customers that support the growth of your assigned area.
The position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and be responsible for the following job duties.
Essential Job Functions:
What You’ll Do:
Our talented sales and business development team members are viewed as solution providers within the industry. They enjoy a collaborative sales approach, working with our customers to develop custom automated system and robotic solutions for component assembly, part inspection, material handling, packaging, and other similar processes. By thinking out of the box and listening to the customer, Intec Automation is able to provide an attractive ROI and develop long-lasting business relationships. Our capabilities span many industries allowing for a diverse portfolio and endless opportunity. More specifically we look for individual whom:
- Develop and maintain a territory coverage plan that allows for key account development and prospecting of new customers.
- Call and visit customers regularly to establish an active pipeline within our CRM that supports the achievement of sales targets.
- Meet or exceed annual assigned sales targets.
- Develop the installed base within the assigned geography for additional sales opportunities & aftermarket sales that are supported by the service sales group.
- Understand customer needs and translate needs into solutions. Work directly with the applications engineering team to develop concepts, establish project costs and write formal proposals.
- Review and assess customer supplied URS documents to confirm compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Ensure proposals achieve user requirements, add value to the customer experience and mitigate risks to Intec Automation.
- Develop and maintain good working relations with internal customers (sales, project management, engineering & operations).
- Participate and contribute to the success of trade shows and exhibitions as required.
- Support customer visits at Intec Automation where required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your immediate manager or member of the leadership team.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated ability to drive a level of sales opportunities that support achieving territory revenue goals.
- Experience in robotics and custom automated equipment for different applications
- Experience selling turnkey equipment to the Medical Device and Life Sciences Industries.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships at multiple levels and through multiple channels within an account.
- Displays a high degree of confidence and comfort in representing complex technical solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Highly motivated, self-directed and able to work independently.
Education, Training, Professional Certifications, and Work Experience:
- BA / BS degree, preferrable in a technical field.
- Minimum of 3+ years sales experience selling turnkey technical engineered custom equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications.
- Formal sales training is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent travel is required including overnight travel pending location.
- The position will require time standing, sitting, walking, reaching, talking and hearing. Limited weightlifting can be expected but not expected to exceed 30 lbs.
- Position is a field sales and business develop role and work may be required in a variety of environments.
