Our client is an innovative player in the field of specialised services for professional associations, groups, unions, and similar organisations. Experiencing strong growth, our client is seeking a Business Development professional to support its expansion and increase its presence in the Quebec and Canadian markets.
Reporting to the President, the Business Development Representative will play a key and essential role in maximising the company’s expansion potential in the market. They will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with potential clients.
- Identify, qualify, and generate prospects through cold calls, in-person meetings, and client referrals.
- Organise and conduct meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of prospects and effectively manage the sales pipeline to maximise opportunities.
- Negotiate, finalise, and close deals by following the sales process and presenting compelling proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and existing strategies and tools.
- Travel occasionally within Quebec and other Canadian provinces to meet clients and expand the network.
Profil
- Experience in business development or sales, ideally in a B2B context or with institutional clients such as professional associations, unions, or groups.
- Expertise in prospecting and managing the sales cycle, with a strong focus on cold calling and lead management.
- Excellent ability to build lasting client relationships and understand their needs to offer tailored solutions.
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, to interact with a diverse clientele across Canada.
- Ability to work independently and be results-oriented, with a strong desire to contribute to the company’s growth.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, ensuring rigorous follow-up of the sales pipeline.
