About the Role:

As Business Development Representative, you will be an integral, early member of our sales team, prospecting and qualifying new customers. 

At Fieldguide, we know the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team.  You are a great fit for this role if you are a high-performing strategic researcher who also loves the hunt. You will be the first line of communication with prospects, researching leads, kicking off new relationships and setting our closers up for success. 

This role is based in Denver, CO

What You'll Do:

  • Source new business and shape process. As one of our first BDRs, you’ll drive outbound efforts to build the sales pipeline, supporting and partnering with AEs by making introductions and scheduling demo calls.

  • Build trust with prospects. Build credibility and educate customer prospects about Fieldguide using internal business cases, speaking to our value and return on investment. 

  • Be a Fieldguide expert. Build expertise across the Fieldguide platform and keep a pulse on where the product roadmap is headed. Understand the industry we operate in, the factors spurring tech advancement, and our competitor landscape.

  • Improve and iterate continuously. Partner with VP of Sales to iterate on sales motion, processes, infrastructure, and collateral. Gain understanding of service lines and personas and refine efficiency of our sales playbook.

  • Make the perfect handoff. Work closely with Account Executives to ensure a smooth transition for the sales demo call.

About You:

  • You are a team player, and you are mission-first. You’re joining a hard-working team that trusts each other deeply. We won’t compromise on this.

  • Hands on BDR experience. You have experience researching strategic leads, qualifying them and handing them off to an Account Executive.

  • Intrinsically motivated to exceed goals, with a proven track record of success. You don’t get intimidated, but rather get excited by ambitious goals.

  • Obsessed with finding qualified leads and bringing new customers to Fieldguide.

  • Bonus if you have industry knowledge of assurance and advisory services, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity or regulatory standards.

  • Double bonus if you have 6-12 months in a sales role.
