What is the GSP AI Factory Team and why join?
The AI Factory Team sits at the center of one of WWT’s fastest-growing businesses: helping Neoclouds, GPU Cloud providers, and data center builders design, source, and scale the infrastructure behind the AI boom. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be a hunter — identifying and developing net-new opportunities with the startups and enterprises racing to stand up GPU capacity, and connecting them to WWT’s supply chain, integration, and services capabilities. This is a ground-floor seat on one of the most active buying segments in technology today.
What will you be doing?
WWT is looking for a self-motivated, quota-carrying Business Development Representative to drive net-new pipeline within the Neocloud, GPU Cloud, and AI Factory data center builder segment. You will prospect, qualify, and develop new logos ranging from early-stage, venture-backed GPU Cloud startups to large enterprises building AI infrastructure offerings, positioning WWT’s hardware, integration, and services portfolio in support of AI Factory builds.
This role works closely with WWT’s Global Service Provider (GSP) sales leadership, technical architects, and partner teams — including NVIDIA and other AI ecosystem OEMs — to build qualified pipeline and hand off engaged opportunities to the extended sales team for pursuit and close.
Responsibilities:
Pipeline Generation & New-Logo Development
- Prospect and generate net-new pipeline across Neocloud, GPU Cloud, and AI Factory data center builder accounts, from early-stage startups to large enterprises.
- Build and maintain a target account list, researching funding, expansion plans, and GPU capacity build-outs to prioritize outreach.
- Qualify inbound and self-sourced leads against WWT’s ideal customer profile for AI Factory infrastructure opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline-generation and meetings-set targets.
Market & Partner Engagement
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of the Neocloud/GPU Cloud competitive landscape, funding trends, and buying cycles.
- Build relationships with NVIDIA and other AI ecosystem OEM/partner field teams to source and co-develop opportunities.
- Represent WWT at industry events, briefings, and AI Factory-focused forums to build brand awareness in the segment.
- Stay current on WWT’s AI Factory capabilities — compute, networking, storage, power/cooling, integration, and services — to credibly open conversations with technical and business buyers.
Relationship Development & Deal Handoff
- Build early-stage relationships with founders, technical leadership, and procurement/infrastructure decision-makers at target accounts.
- Run initial discovery conversations to uncover infrastructure requirements, timelines, and budget authority.
- Partner with WWT Client Managers, solution architects, and the extended AI Factory team to hand off qualified opportunities and support pursuit strategy.
- Accurately track and report pipeline activity, forecasts, and account intelligence in Salesforce.
