Business development intern supporting market research, customer and partner outreach, opportunity qualification, government funding research, pipeline management, proposals, pricing analyses, and commercialization strategy for advanced composite manufacturing. The intern will coordinate with engineering and operations, support customer meetings and industry events, manage confidential and export-controlled information, and own a growth project culminating in a leadership presentation.
Company Overview
Hybron, Inc. is an advanced manufacturing startup that has developed a new method for producing fiber-reinforced polymer composites. Our process addresses the limitations of traditional composites manufacturing, enabling complex, lightweight components to be produced with greater strength and at 10 to 100 times the speed. We have successfully tested our first composite compressor blades in a fighter jet engine and are expanding into applications across aerospace, defense, energy, and other commercial markets.
Our technology can improve the performance and affordability of critical hardware while strengthening domestic manufacturing. Join us as we turn new manufacturing capabilities into products and partnerships that serve the United States and its allies.
About the Role
We are seeking an MBA student for a 2027 Business Development Internship at our Hawthorne facility. You will work directly with Hybron's business development team, co-founders, and engineering team to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, and support strategic growth in U.S. and international markets.
You will help move opportunities from initial research and outreach through customer evaluation, proposals, and partnership development. The role combines market strategy, government opportunity research, commercial analysis, and hands-on execution. You will also own a defined growth project and present your findings and recommended next steps to leadership.
