Job Summary

This hybrid role is designed to support the department by integrating A&R research, Business Development, Rights Management, and M&A opportunity evaluation. The position is essential for conducting the necessary market and financial research—leveraging data from DSPs, YouTube, Nielsen, Luminate, and internal research tools—to inform actionable deal decisions. Key responsibilities include utilizing external and internal resources, facilitating cross-functional communication, and reporting findings directly to Business Development to expedite the contract negotiation process.


Responsibilities

  • Market & Opportunity Identification: Researching market trends, competitor analysis, and identifying new target markets or customer segments
  • Strategy & Planning: Developing forecasts to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Sourcing potential clients, preparing proposals & researching potential leads disseminated from the executive team. 
  • Internal Collaboration: Working with Research, A&R, Business Development and Rights Management teams to align overall strategies.
  • Digital Performance Monitoring: Tracking KPI’s, monitoring business initiatives, and providing feedback
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications 

  • Communication: Persuasive verbal and written skills 
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Proficiency in interpreting data, forecasting revenue, and managing budgets.
  • Digital Fluency: Mastery of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and AI-driven data tools to optimize leads is a plus. 
  • Adaptability: The resilience to handle frequent communication and pivot strategies in fast-changing markets.

Additional Criteria

  • College educated, Bachelor’s Degree preferred: 
    • Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance.
    • Communications, Economics, or Psychology (valuable for relationship-building)
  • Certifications: (Optional but a plus)
    • Certified Sales Professional (CSP) 
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) 
    • Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) 
    • Google Data Analytics 
  • Ideal candidates will have experience building a portfolio of success, documenting revenue growth or closed partnerships.
  • Music background optional but acquired specialized technical skills in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis tools a plus .
  • Previous experience leveraging transferable experience from high-performance sales or entrepreneurial roles. 
  • Must be able to travel


Pay Scale

  • $17.87 - $20.00 per hour 

The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.

  • Hybrid role: Must be able to attend in person in the LA office 2-3 times per week
  • Length: 3 - 4 months
