Job Description
The Business Analyst, IT will be responsible for working with the business to identify opportunities to design, develop, and deliver solutions that solve complex business challenges. This role requires the ability to work across all levels of the organization providing insight and guidance that will ensure value add solutions are planned and executed to optimize results and improve efficiencies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment and progress.
Write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring they are ready for the development team and align with business requirements.
Assist in the testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and are free of defects.
Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other techniques.
Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
Create and maintain training documentation to distribute within IT/business users.
Meet with end users to reinforce process, best practices, and explain system behaviors/expectations.
Design new technology solutions by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
Understands the process workflow and considers the implication of process changes to the current and future business environment.
Serves as a liaison between IT Support, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Developers for system modifications, enhancements, and implementations.
Collaborates closely with developers to analyze business projects and change requests supporting various enterprise applications.
Serves as subject matter expert in design methodologies, data analysis, cost-benefit analysis, benchmark methodologies, and/or business-critical applications.
Collaborates with Agile Scrum development teams to identify and resolve production issues. At the same time, provide valuable feedback on application improvements.
Monitors/follow up with Agile Scrum team Product Managers on backlog item status.
Compile tasks and estimates and provide reporting of projects to stakeholders.
Serve as liaison for IT SOX activities, documenting processes and policies as required, working with auditors and other vendors to remediate areas of risk.
Monitor and evaluate change control process related to software development to report on success and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a strong understanding of the importance of Scrum cadences and ceremonies.
Sensational interpersonal communication skills – must be able to listen, ask questions, train, and empathize.
Analytical, highly organized, and great attention to detail.
Proven experience in gathering requirements, testing, and deploying large projects on time and budget.
Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
Experienced and knowledgeable with relational database design and navigation.
Experience with SQL.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
Business-minded IT professional who is passionate about technology, innovation, and servant leadership.
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS or combination of industry certifications.
5+ years related work experience.
Strong technical knowledge.
Strong understanding of project management principles.
Demonstrate a commitment to supporting company’s ethics and values.
Preferred Attributes:
Understanding of Agile and Scrum ideologies and frameworks.
Experience with project management tools like Confluence and Jira.
Experience in Real Estate, REITs and/or leasing lifecycle.

Salary Range
Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.
