We’re actively seeking a talented Business Analyst II to join our CMD Product Development team in Newport Beach, CA.
As a Business Analyst II, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by creating technical requirements that are consumed by the business, acting as a subject matter expert on behalf of Product Development, and coding testing tools that are used to ensure IT systems are coded accurately. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 8 people in the Consumer Markets Division. Your colleagues will include other business analyst professionals.
How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Create technical documentation, including but not limited to life insurance product specifications, technical guides, and comparison documents.

  • Code excel testing tools that mimic life insurance product mechanics.

  • Lead benchmark efforts by comparing expected results generated via the testing tool against system generated values, and debugging and resolving any differences that may arise.

  • Support Compliance, Marketing and Training in the development of key project artifacts.

  • Become a life insurance subject matter expert and initial point of contact for questions that may arise on life insurance products and features.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in math, finance, economics, or related analytical field

  • 2+ years of life insurance experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Term and Cash Value Life Insurance products

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$82,800.00 - $101,200.00
