We are a prominent and growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Newport Beach and we are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Referral Supervisor to oversee all outbound referrals originating from our Intake Department. This individual will be responsible for managing the referral process from initial identification through successful placement with appropriate attorneys, law firms, or other referral partners.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to evaluate potential referrals, maintain professional relationships, and ensure each opportunity is handled efficiently. 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all outbound referrals generated by the Intake Department.
  • Review incoming inquiries and identify cases that are not a fit for the firm but may be appropriate for referral to outside counsel.
  • Evaluate potential referrals based on case type, liability, damages, jurisdiction, and other relevant criteria.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with outside attorneys, law firms, and referral partners.
  • Coordinate the referral process, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and appropriate case handoffs.
  • Track referral activity, conversion rates, outcomes, and other key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Intake leadership to improve referral workflows, maximize opportunities, and ensure consistent handling of cases.
  • Establish standard operating procedures and accountability measures for referral tracking and follow-up.
  • Ensure referral practices comply with applicable legal ethics rules, attorney advertising requirements, and fee-sharing regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience in personal injury law, legal intake, case management, attorney relations, or referral management.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury case types, case screening, and referral processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple referrals simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Experience using CRM systems, case management software, and referral tracking tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in Newport Beach, California.
