Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented BI Analyst to join our Healthcare Analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in reporting and analytics, deep knowledge of healthcare claims data, and familiarity with Payment Integrity concepts. This role requires the ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable analytics solutions and provide strategic guidance on compliance and regulatory reporting workbench design.

The candidate should combine analytical excellence, technical acumen, and healthcare domain expertise to deliver actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, compliance, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI and SQL.

Analyze large healthcare claims datasets to identify trends, anomalies, savings opportunities, and compliance risks.

Support Payment Integrity initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and measurement of program effectiveness.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance teams, clinical teams, and technology teams to gather and translate requirements into analytics solutions.

Provide recommendations on end-to-end analytics workbench architecture for regulatory, compliance, and operational reporting.

Develop data models, KPIs, scorecards, and executive dashboards that support strategic decision-making.

Ensure data quality, accuracy, governance, and consistency across reporting solutions.

Leverage AI-enabled analytics concepts and technologies to improve insights generation, automation, and reporting effectiveness.

Support root cause analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement initiatives.

Document business logic, metrics definitions, and reporting frameworks.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, and report optimization.

Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets.

Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.

Experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization.

Knowledge of AI technologies, Generative AI concepts, and AI-driven analytics capabilities.

Understanding of data governance, compliance reporting, and regulatory analytics frameworks.

Domain Skills

Strong healthcare payer domain experience.

Deep understanding of healthcare claims data and claims lifecycle processes.

Familiarity with Payment Integrity concepts, including claim validation, overpayment identification, recoveries, pre-pay and post-pay review processes.

Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with healthcare payer organizations.

Exposure to cloud analytics platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS Analytics services.

Experience supporting compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting programs.

Familiarity with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI-enabled reporting solutions.

Understanding of CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reporting environments.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

Power BI Certification

Azure Data Fundamentals or Azure Data Engineer Certification

Healthcare Analytics or Payment Integrity domain certifications

This profile is ideal for a BI professional who can bridge Healthcare Claims Analytics, Payment Integrity, Compliance Reporting, Power BI, SQL, and AI-driven analytics while advising stakeholders on enterprise-scale regulatory analytics solutions.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $180,000 - $190,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

Benefits:

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.  You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.  In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.   The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
