Graham Healthcare Group is hiring a Bereavement Department Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team! The Bereavement Department Administrative Assistant will support the ongoing daily operation of the Agency, specifically by meeting the organizational and administrative needs of the Bereavement Department. This position will be in our Troy, MI office location.
Bereavement Department Administrative Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Accurate documentation in HCHB as appropriate.
- Utilizes Excel to track departmental data.
- Maintains flexibility in the performance of duties to accommodate departmental needs.
- Emphasizes commitment to the quality of service during interactions with internal and external customers (patients, families, administration, nursing, and physicians).
- Contributes to maintaining unit morale by encouraging teamwork.
- Ensures compliance with the company’s Core Values and Core Competencies.
Bereavement Department Administrative Assistant Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required; some college coursework or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of hospice experience preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service capacity.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Accurately and appropriately documents information.
- Contacts patients and families, providing effective support.
- Exhibits patience, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude.
- Delivers excellent customer service.
- Detail-oriented with attention to detail.
- Capable of reading and following written instructions and documentation.
