Job Summary

Newmark’s West Coast Investment Sales team seeks a driven and analytically minded associate to support the execution and marketing of institutional investment sales assignments. The team has closed over $75 billion in institutional sales and structured financings and has maintained the #1 market share for office sales in Greater Los Angeles for five consecutive years. The associate will work directly with lead brokers and analysts across the full deal life cycle, from comparable analysis and offering materials through tours, best and final rounds and closing, making this a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience on landmark transactions with a best-in-class group of professionals.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Comparable Analysis

  • Manage and update the team’s comparable sales database to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • Partner with analysts to develop comparable sale analyses for each transaction.

Marketing & Content Production

  • Create property summaries for deals in accordance with team and client brand standards.
  • Assist brokerage team with content production for brochures and offering memorandums, including narrative drafting, data verification and proofing.
  • Create and print tour books for prospective investor tours.

Tour Coordination & Investor Engagement

  • Prepare and send tour invitations to prospective investors and coordinate scheduling.
  • Update CRM system with tour dates and investor activity to maintain an accurate record of engagement.
  • Lead property tours as appropriate, presenting the investment thesis and responding to investor questions.

Deal Process & Transaction Support

  • Assist broker team with marketing report updates in advance of scheduled client calls.
  • Support the preparation of materials to manage the bid process. 
  • Oversee updates to the deal marketing platform, ensuring appropriate permissions and timely document postings.
  • Draft commission invoices and coordinate supporting documentation through the closing process.

Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 annually plus a discretionary bonus

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $135,000 annually.  The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.  In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in real estate, finance, economics or a related field.

  • Two to three years of experience in commercial real estate, investment sales, capital markets or a related analytical role 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Revere or comparable CRM and data room platforms preferred

  • Real Estate license is required
