The Associate Wealth Advisor supports high-net-worth clients by managing onboarding processes, client inquiries, and identifying business opportunities while ensuring a positive client experience.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Associate, Wealth Management will be responsible for supporting and cultivating wealth management relationships and portfolios of high-net-worth clients and prospects and assist with the development and growth of business through engaging and utilizing the full capabilities of the firm. The role is an integral member of the advisory team and is responsible for delivering a consistent, positive client experience to help ensure all commitments are completed and delivered in a timely manner and additionally responsible for managing the processes associated with client onboarding, maintenance, securities transactions, and inquiries.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the client onboarding process and coordinate the process flow by partnering with internal business units.
- Use independent judgement and discretion while supporting client needs. Acts as the first point of escalation for problem resolution and proactively reaches out to clients to resolve reporting metrics issues to ensure a personalized client experience.
- Proactively identify potential opportunities for existing customers, including identifying clients who are potential candidates for specific products and services. Independently reach out to internal referrals to identify opportunities.
- Regularly perform analysis on client investment accounts to prepare client portfolio reviews and other materials for client meetings. Assist in developing sales plans for each client based on analysis of cash reports, upcoming maturity reports and other metrics to help grow business.
- Accompanies wealth sales professional on client calls as subject matter expert and primary client contact to provide information regarding service, operations, products, and technology platforms.
Other Responsibilities:
- Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML/BSA Compliance Department. For supervisory positions, ensure BSA training requirements are completed by staff.

Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of Bank's policies, procedures and capabilities through comprehensive knowledge of all Valley Wealth Management products.
- Build and maintain positive and productive working relationships within Valley Bank in order to resolve any potential client issues and problems efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and staff across all levels of organization.
- Client service oriented with a high level of professional and personal integrity; demonstrate a positive and optimistic perspective during each client interaction.

- Strong knowledge of investment securities and market trends.
- Working knowledge of SalesForce, IBS and Pershing preferred.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and a min. of 1 year proven wealth management or client service experience.
- Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within a specified period of time.
