The Associate Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth across all social platforms. This role will serve as the voice of the brand, actively managing community interactions and fostering meaningful relationships with fans, customers, and ambassadors.
 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement innovative social media strategies that align with brand goals and audience interests.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic content calendar that supports key campaigns and product launches.
  • Create, capture, and edit engaging content, including video, photography, and graphics, optimized for each platform.
  • Actively monitor and engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and trends in real time.
  • Collaborate with ambassadors and influencers to generate authentic, high-quality social content.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and distribute assets that elevate the brand.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize content and engagement.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure Callaway remains an industry leader.
  • Manage social media contests, giveaways, and activations, ensuring seamless execution and fulfillment.
  • Travel to events, shoots, and key brand moments to capture on-the-ground content.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Deep knowledge of major social media platforms and emerging trends.
  • Strong video editing, photo editing, and graphic creation skills (Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.).
  • Experience using content management systems and social scheduling tools (Emplifi or similar).
  • Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging social copy.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for professional golf and golf content creators, with an understanding of the digital landscape shaping the sport.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in social media marketing, preferably within sports, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
