We are looking for a Photo Retoucher to join our in-house Brand Creative Team. You’ll be responsible for elevating FIGS photography through meticulous retouching, color correction and image enhancement— ensuring every asset meets our brand standards across e-commerce, campaigns and social. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, deep knowledge of studio lighting, color accuracy, and photo manipulation. You will collaborate closely with Art Directors, Photographers, Designers, Production Teams, Project Managers to deliver flawless, on-brand imagery that celebrates our products and the Awesome Humans who wear them. 


What you'll do:

  • Retouch high-volume product and campaign imagery with speed, precision, and consistency across all FIGS channels.
  • Perform advanced skin retouching while maintaining natural textures and tones—our images should feel authentic, never artificial.
  • Ensure color accuracy across product lines (scrubs, outerwear, footwear, and accessories), maintaining alignment with merch samples and FIGS color standards.
  • Apply detailed fabric corrections to highlight technical features (stretch, drape, durability) while preserving realism.
  • Collaborate with art directors, and the post-production team to interpret and execute creative direction.
  • Maintain retouching guidelines, templates, and workflows for consistency across high-volume global asset delivery.
  • Partner with Art Directors and Graphic Designers to ensure files are exported, named, and organized according to FIGS standards.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, tools, and trends to continuously improve retouching techniques and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years image editing experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (Capture One, Lightroom, and color management expertise a plus).
  • Strong understanding of studio lighting, skin tones, and color science.
  • Keen eye for detail—especially in fabric texture, product construction, and color-matching accuracy.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment.
  • Ability to balance speed with uncompromising quality.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Communication

FIGS Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

  • At FIGS, your hourly rate is one part of your total compensation package. This role's hourly rate is between $28 and $36. Actual hourly rate is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
