Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You turn complex measurement data into stories our largest global publishers and advertising platform partners can act on. You sit in Measurement Science, Samba’s service organization, reporting to the Senior Manager, Measurement Science and working across teams to craft insights that optimize future campaign strategies. It’s an ideal step for someone eager to build deep expertise in presenting measurement insights, the publisher and platform ecosystem, and industry benchmarking and trend forecasting.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Studies: Lead execution of Samba’s ad effectiveness studies, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that directly inform client media planning and strategy.
  • Own Your Accounts: Act as a key point of contact for major publishers and advertising platforms, supporting 3 to 5 accounts.
  • Present the Value: Develop, deliver, and present reports and analyses that articulate the value of Samba’s measurement suite, focusing on the strategic implications of campaign results.
  • Report the Metrics: Own the creation and presentation of regular reports on key advertising metrics, including Box Office, Tune In, and Reach and Frequency, with clear takeaways for clients.
  • Be the Client’s Voice: Work with internal Data Analysts and Product teams as the client’s voice, ensuring data output aligns with client objectives and timelines and raising methodology and process feedback.
  • Arm the Sales Team: Support the sales organization with strong positioning stories and presentation materials that highlight the value of our audience media and measurement opportunities.
  • Grow the Relationships: Maintain and grow client relationships through proactive communication, addressing queries and ensuring clients are satisfied with our deliverables.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years in a client-facing role presenting insights, analyzing data, or consulting within market research, advertising, or media, including project management, research, or measurement analyst work.
  • A strong aptitude for distilling complex data into concise, actionable insight for non-technical audiences, and the curiosity to understand the why behind the data across publishers and studies.
  • A natural storyteller with strong verbal and written communication skills, confident presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A high level of accuracy and organization, managing multiple client deliverables simultaneously.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
