The Associate Director will manage MEP projects, ensuring client satisfaction and overseeing all project lifecycle aspects including planning, design, and execution.
About the Role:
Gardiner & Theobald is currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Associate Director of MEP Project Management to join our team. In this role, the Associate Director will play a vital role in managing one or multiple projects to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care and satisfaction. You will leverage your expertise in the field to solve complex problems and own every aspect of the project lifecycle. Additionally, this role will actively participate in client meetings and will be responsible for creating and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Documentation development with improved quality and efficiency
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexities
- Oversee the planning, design, construction/installation, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring project goals, budgets, and schedules are met.
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure MEP system designs meet project specifications, regulations, and sustainability goals.
- Manage and perform all tasks required to deliver a project:
- Contract review and development
- Cost estimate/report review
- Industry benchmarking
- Effectively develop documentation, including the following:
- RFP’s
- Project schedules
- Action items matrices
- Meeting minutes and agendas
- Participate in client presentations for new work
- Comfortably and efficiently chairs project meetings
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field
- 7-10 Years of experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field
- In-depth technical knowledge of MEP system design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices, energy-efficient MEP systems, and cost estimating is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (PE, LEED AP, CEM, etc.) are desirable.
- Technical or professional license preferred
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Experience in Microsoft Project is a plus
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
