Associate Director – Go-To-Market Content Strategy & Planning

 

Position Description: 

The Associate Director will own the development of strategy and planning for Go-To-Market (GTM) content across all marketing channels based on business objectives and target audience. Create content calendars and content guidelines and work in collaboration with internal teams, creative agencies, Lilly Marketing Studios, branding agencies, along with cross-functional partners across Media Services and Social. 

The Associate Director will a data-driven strategist and partner with the Business Insights & Analytics team to build, track, validate and optimize content strategy, including developing insights on the consumer through research and analysis of available data points. 

The Associate Director will partner with the Platform & Experience Content Strategists to navigate the ambiguity of dependent workstreams across the enterprise such as first party data (FPD) and ensure a point of connectivity in overarching branding look and feel between site experience and marketing. 

 

The position reports directly to the LillyDirect GTM Leader.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Build a comprehensive Content Strategy & Plans (50%) 

  • Leverage creative campaigns and overall branding toolkit and guidelines to create content strategy for full marketing continuum 
  • Outline the steps involved in creating content, including ideation, writing, editing, and design to develop best-in-class content plans 
  • Develop and lead planning for content distribution across various platforms to ensure consistency and high engagement
    • Build content calendars and consult with platform team, product brand and creative partners to develop content for each respective journey 
  • Map journeys across audiences throughout all digital touch points, inclusive of paid, earned, owned & shared 
  • Communicating content strategy to stakeholders and ensuring understanding and buy-in.

 

Analyze & Optimize Content Strategy (20%) 

  • Partner with Business Intelligence & Analytics to use data-driven insights to optimize content strategies, improve engagement, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). 
    • Monitor performance of key metrics  (e.g., website traffic, social engagement etc.) to assess the effectiveness of your content strategy.  

 

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (30%) 

  • Collaborate on creative briefs with GTM team to translate brand goals and content needs for creative partners 
  • Collaborate with Platform & Experience team to ensure synergies in branding look and feel with clear GTM pull-through based on the Customer Experience 
  • Partner with Creative agency to develop Success, Dispensing & Care content 
  • Consult with cross-functional partners and product brand teams to ensure proper pull through of site experience and condition details 
  • Bridge connectivity in content journeys with the site experience for each respective audience across consumer marketing touchpoints including flighting 

 

Minimum Experience / Personal Skill Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 10 years of consumer brand, media, or digital industry experience

Strong Preferences:

  • Demonstrated experience with digital marketing, social media, and content development and deep understanding of various content formats, platforms, and their best practices.
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skills & ability to unify teams to a joint vision
  • Strategic thinker with the proven ability to be proactive in problem identification and solution development
  • Self-directed, strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Strong proficiency in using web analytics and other tools to measure content performance and identify areas for improvement

  • Experience working with agency and external partners 
  • eCommerce & Retail Marketing experience 
  • Experience with developing and acting on deep customer insights 
  • Experience leading through ambiguity to create direction 
  • Ability to work cross functionally including critical internal partners

  • Strong decision-making skills and proven ability to influence others 
  • Adaptable to changing dynamics, agile and strong preference to go above and beyond

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$122,250 - $179,300

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
