About the Role:

Motive is seeking two entrepreneurial Growth Interns to join our Marketing team and help reimagine how we operate using AI. These interns will help design and develop engaging AI apps and workflows as part of our innovative marketing and sales efforts. This hands-on role involves collaborating with creative leads, campaign & content strategists, product marketers, and sales teams to create new impactful AI-powered tools for our team. This is not a “watch and learn” internship. It’s a “build and launch” one.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and launch at least one AI-powered tool, workflow, or solution that delivers a measurable impact by saving time on manual marketing tasks, improving content or campaign quality, and/or supporting pipeline growth / sales efficiency
  • Partner with teammates across marketing to identify pain points and inefficiencies and rapidly prototype solutions
  • Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and engagement
  • Analyze data to measure success and inform strategy
  • Present your project to marketing and executive leaders at the end of your internship
What We're Looking For:
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for AI, already leveraging in tools in their academic and personal lives
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Are naturally curious and ready to take initiative
  • Nice to have: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to work on real-world projects and make a tangible impact in people's work
  • Walk away with tangible, business-impacting project work for your resume
  • Our marketing team is at the leading edge in adopting AI—and you’ll help shape how
  • Learn by doing: You'll work closely with experienced marketers, operators, and technologists

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
