The Role:
Morning Consult is seeking a client-obsessed, strategic Associate Director, Client Strategy to serve as a trusted advisor to our financial services, private equity, banking, and fintech clients. Reporting to the Director, Client Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients leverage consumer and economic sentiment data from our MC Intelligence platform to inform critical business decisions.

The Customer Success Team at Morning Consult:
Customer Success team members are experts in the Morning Consult Intelligence products and partner closely with our clients to help them leverage the platform to address critical business needs and goals. Our mission is to drive customer engagement, retention, and expansion by helping clients best leverage their subscriptions to Morning Consult’s syndicated solutions.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Serve as a primary strategic consultant and point of contact for a portfolio of financial services, private equity, banking, and fintech clients, ensuring they maximize the value of Morning Consult’s data and insights.
- Lead client engagements, including onboarding, business reviews, and ongoing strategic advisory sessions, with a focus on tying consumer sentiment data to client business objectives.
- Develop and deliver tailored recommendations that help clients navigate market shifts, manage risk, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner.
- Proactively monitor news, industry developments, and consumer sentiment data to surface timely, relevant insights for clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Sales, Product, and Research teams to deliver seamless client experiences and support account growth.
- Represent Morning Consult in client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Support process improvements and best practices for client strategy delivery, ensuring operational excellence.
- Perform such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion.
About You and What You’ve Done:
- 8+ years of experience in client relationship management. Experience in financial services, private equity, banking, and fintech is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in strategy consulting or financial services, with a strong track record of supporting Fortune 500 clients.
- Deep expertise in leveraging data, news, and market trends to inform client business decisions.
- Passion for news, current events, and understanding consumer sentiment.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging senior executives.
- Proven ability to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and driving client outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Growth mindset, coachable, and willing to take feedback, learn, and grow. An ethos of continuous self-improvement.

The expected salary range for this position is $107,500 - $174,900 with a midpoint of $141,200.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
