We are looking for an Associate Data Engineer to contribute to our Data Platform, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Platform Services. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the entire Data Lifecycle (DLC) using dbt, BigQuery, Airflow, and Terraform. You will partner closely with the Data Analytics and Data Science teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and reliable data infrastructure. Ultimately, this role will focus on building reliable transformations using Python and SQL, and optimizing our data platform infrastructure to support business insights and decision-making.


What you’ll be doing an Associate Data Engineer

  • Build and maintain data pipelines using dbt and Airflow
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
  • Build Automated data testing with good test coverage to ensure data quality
  • Optimize BigQuery performance for scalability and efficiency
  • Participate in on-call rotations for troubleshooting and triaging outages/errors
  • Support Data science and Data Analyst by curation required data


Requirements:

  • Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
  • Experience in dbt development and deployment
  • Knowledge in Data science is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow pipeline orchestration
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) knowledge with Terraform
  • Cloud experience (GCP preferred, but other public cloud platforms are acceptable)
