Disney seeks an Associate Data Analyst to join the Enterprise Research & Analytics team. The Brand Analytics team is a highly visible department that is charged with finding the best methods to understand consumer thoughts, feelings, and behaviors across digital and social channels. They play an integral part in aiding key business decisions for the Walt Disney Company, encompassing Corporate, Disney Entertainment and Disney Experiences through our core brands; Disney+, Hulu, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Pixar, Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation, Disney Parks & Cruises, and many more. You will join a dynamic group who are passionate about bringing the consumer voice into decision-making every day. 

You will play a crucial role in supporting the team's ability to analyze and interpret data related to our digital marketing efforts through routine review and metadata application on owned and earned social media content. You will collaborate with a team of Data Analysts to provide valuable insights that drive informed business decisions. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with content management tools, experience with large-volume data sets, and a foundational understanding of digital and social media platforms. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and evaluate content published to the company’s global social channels (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X/Twitter, TikTok) on a daily basis against established reporting guidelines 

  • Apply comprehensive data labeling to owned and earned social posts, including user-generated content, within a content tagging management system, building and leveraging automated functions such as macros when appropriate 

  • Liaise with external platform partners to streamline workflows or resolve platform bugs when needed 

  • Support the Digital Analytics team in the preparation and execution of digital reports, ranging from recurring digital performance reports to ad-hoc issues management and alerts support, for our major company brands and titles 

  • Perform quantitative data pulls and analysis for reporting deliverables across various digital channels by tapping into various toolsets 

  • Develop prototype solutions, including reports and dashboards, to support insights with visualization of complex data sets 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate performance results clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders 

Qualifications: 

  • 1+ year experience in data analytics with experience in entertainment, digital marketing, social media, or consumer data a plus. Relevant internship experience may be considered. 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Marketing, Psychology, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience 

  • Experience in data analytics, including research, social media, consumer data, and digital marketing 

  • Familiarity with social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Threads, Reddit, and BlueSky 

  • Familiarity with content management systems and social listening tools, such as Sprinklr, Quid/Netbase, RivalIQ, ListenFirst, Brandwatch, Meltwater, and Talkwalker 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Drive systems 

  • Proficiency in using generative AI chat and productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) to streamline workflows, synthesize data, and summarize information. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a relentless attention to detail 

  • Exceptional time management skills, with an ability to work rapidly and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences 

  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills 

  • This role requires in-person collaboration from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Friday 

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $65,300.00 to $87,500.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
