Position Title: Assistant Manager, Brand Engagement
Duration: 6 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $29.50 / hour on W2
Position Overview
The Assistant Manager, Brand Engagement plays a key role in executing the brand's integrated communications strategy, with a primary focus on social media, influencer marketing, public relations activations, and community engagement. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure all communications activities align with overall marketing objectives and strengthen brand positioning.
The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic, and highly organized marketing professional with experience managing social media channels, influencer partnerships, agency relationships, and PR initiatives within a consumer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Content Management
  • Develop and execute engaging content across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Create and coordinate visually compelling content such as images, videos, graphics, and short-form content tailored to platform-specific best practices.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and audience engagement goals.

Agency & Partner Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for social media and influencer marketing agencies.
  • Provide strategic direction, campaign briefs, creative feedback, and ongoing communication to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.
  • Manage timelines, approvals, and execution of agency-led initiatives.

Content Calendar Ownership
  • Maintain and manage the master social media content calendar.
  • Coordinate content planning with product launches, marketing campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and key business priorities.
  • Ensure a consistent flow of engaging content across all digital platforms.

Social Channel Expansion
  • Support and execute strategies for emerging and evolving social media platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to grow brand presence and engagement across new channels while maintaining brand consistency.

Community Management
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and professional responses to comments, messages, and consumer inquiries.
  • Foster positive audience engagement and strengthen online community relationships.

Public Relations & Brand Activations
  • Support PR initiatives, media outreach efforts, product sampling programs, partnership activations, and earned media opportunities.
  • Assist with campaign execution and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Influencer Marketing & Product Seeding
  • Manage influencer partnerships and product seeding programs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with influencers, creators, and brand advocates aligned with brand objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization.

Team Support & Mentorship
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members or trainees.
  • Support professional development through coaching, feedback, and project direction.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor social media performance metrics and campaign results.
  • Develop regular reports highlighting key insights, engagement trends, audience growth, and content effectiveness.
  • Present recommendations based on data-driven findings.

Trend Monitoring & Competitive Analysis
  • Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, influencer activity, and competitor initiatives.
  • Recommend content and strategy enhancements to maintain relevance and competitiveness.

Social Listening & Consumer Insights
  • Conduct social listening activities to gather consumer feedback, brand sentiment, and competitive insights.
  • Share actionable findings with marketing and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and campaign optimization.

Administrative Support
  • Assist with scheduling content, maintaining social media accounts, coordinating project timelines, and supporting day-to-day marketing operations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing social media platforms and content strategies.
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing, public relations, and community management.
  • Experience working with or within marketing, social media, PR, or influencer agencies.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of current digital marketing trends, social platforms, and consumer engagement strategies.
