About the Role

As our Associate Advertising Campaign Manager, you'll help bring digital media campaigns to life for some of the world's leading CPG brands, agencies, retailers, and publishers. You'll own the day-to-day execution and performance of campaigns, from setup and launch through pacing, optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting, while partnering closely with Client Success and cross-functional teams to keep campaigns running smoothly. This is an entry-level advertising operations role that reports to our Director of Campaign Management.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious about how digital advertising works behind the scenes and enjoys working with data, problem-solving, and digging into the details. Prior ad tech experience is not required. We'll provide the training, mentorship, and support to help you build expertise in advertising technology and campaign management while taking on increasing ownership over time.

Responsibilities

  • Execute digital media campaigns across their full lifecycle, including setup, QA, launch, daily pacing, optimization, troubleshooting, reporting, and closeout
  • Set up campaigns accurately within Chicory's advertising technology and DSP platforms, following campaign requirements and instructions from the Client Success and Campaign Management teams
  • Monitor campaign delivery and performance, using data and tools such as Superset to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and surface opportunities to improve results
  • Implement and troubleshoot third-party tags and tracking solutions used for ad serving, impression measurement, user behavior, and sales attribution
  • Prepare recurring campaign reports and performance insights for internal and external partners, building toward greater autonomy over time
  • Troubleshoot campaign delivery, creative, tracking, and measurement issues, partnering with Product, Engineering, and external vendors when needed
  • Use sound judgment to resolve routine campaign issues independently and escalate more complex or high-impact issues appropriately
  • Partner with Client Success, Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and successfully
  • Contribute to team projects and quarterly priorities that improve campaign operations, reporting, and overall efficiency
  • Build expertise in Chicory's advertising solutions, technology, and digital media best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to improve campaign outcomes
  • Build upon team and company culture and act as a champion of Chicory Principles

Qualifications

  • Curiosity about how digital advertising works behind the scenes and enthusiasm for building expertise in advertising technology and campaign management
  • Enjoyment of working with data and technology, solving problems, and digging into the details
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with a consistent sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Comfort learning new tools and systems, with curiosity and confidence when approaching unfamiliar technology
  • An analytical mindset and interest in understanding the “why” behind what’s happening in the data
  • Clear communication and effective collaboration with teammates across different functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using spreadsheet tools to organize and analyze data, including functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, or motivation to strengthen these skills
  • Thoughtful problem-solving approach, with good judgment around when to work through an issue independently and when to ask for help or escalate

Our Philosophy
At Chicory, we know that we are strongest when every person is valued, respected and treated with dignity. We actively put aside assumptions and judgment and work to make space for all points of view. We do serious work but don’t take ourselves too seriously. We consider our playful spirit a competitive advantage to building better relationships and finding the smartest solutions. We produce the best results by hiring smart people and giving them the space, safety and the resources to do their work. We are building a company people love working with and working at.

Our Commitment Statement to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging

At Chicory, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are key ingredients in our recipe for success. Our diverse experiences, backgrounds, identities, and ways of thinking elevate the level at which we operate; this allows us to innovate in old-school industries by looking not at how things have been done, but how they should be done. We are building a workplace built on merit and equity where every one of us has a voice at the table.

Our Principles

  • Be Good People: The success of our company is totally dependent on having good, smart people.
  • Own It: We take pride in our work. When we see a problem, we step up. We hold ourselves, and each other, to the highest standard. We learn from mistakes, admit when we are wrong, and take full responsibility for delivering results, not just for our role, but for the mission.
  • Separate Your Ego From Your Position: We speak up with conviction, but we stay open to being wrong. Leadership isn’t about winning arguments or defending turf; it’s about serving the mission. We challenge ideas without taking it personally, and we invite feedback without getting defensive. Our goal is the best outcome, not to “be right.”
  • Find Reality: We pursue truth over comfort. We seek to understand before insisting on being understood. We dig beneath symptoms to uncover root causes, and we challenge assumptions, even our own. Clarity comes from curiosity, not certainty. We don’t settle for surface-level answers. We seek reality, even when it’s inconvenient.
  • Have a Beginner’s Mind: Just because something has been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the best way. We stay curious, challenge assumptions, and question the status quo. We stay innovative by tackling problems from a fresh perspective.
  • Bias for Action: Speed matters in business. We don’t wait for permission, perfect clarity, or endless alignment. We cut through noise, complexity, and politics to drive progress. When in doubt, we act, learn, and adapt because action beats indecision every time.
  • Customer Obsessed: Our customers are our North Star. We listen closely, dig deep to understand their needs, and deliver 5-star service at every touchpoint. We build products that actually work: simple, intuitive, and designed to solve real problems.
  • Above and Beyond: We don’t settle for “good enough,” we aim for exceptional. We go above and beyond what’s expected for our team, our customers, and ourselves. We stay curious and hungry. Every day is an opportunity to get better.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
