As an Associate Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support the finance department with a primary focus on billing, accounts receivable, and general financial operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, collection, financial reporting activities, and coverage of team members when required. This client-facing position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.
What Your Success Will Look Like- Assist in preparing and issuing invoices and statements to clients based on service agreements or product deliveries.
- Verify billing information to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Work with internal teams (account management, sales management, other key stakeholders, etc.) to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate billing records and track outstanding invoices.
- Assist in monitoring and updating billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing.
- Provide support in preparing and reviewing monthly billing reports.
- Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Receivable team.
- Work closely with internal teams (account management, sales management, other key stakeholders, etc.) to gather necessary information and resolve any billing or receivable issues.
- Liaise with clients and vendors to ensure proper billing and payment processes are followed.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience
- 1+ years of proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance-related roles.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Sheets and Docs, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting department.
- Familiarity with invoicing software and collections management tools.

- The base salary range is $45,000 (entry-level) - $55,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
