  • Partner with recruiting teams to transition newly appointed agents into early production by clarifying expectations, connecting agents to training, and monitoring activation progress.
  • Facilitate agent onboarding by guiding new and existing agents through registration for the agent portal and related tools, and by troubleshooting access, credential, and navigation issues.
  • Coach agents on sales and production fundamentals through one-on-one support, group training, and follow-up to improve consistency, activity, and results.
  • Mentor Recruiting Assistant Directors to build proficiency in sales and production processes, including best practices for agent activation and field support.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver recurring training webinars and live, in-person seminars to improve product knowledge, selling skills, and operational readiness.
  • Serve as a liaison between the field and home office partners (e.g., licensing/appointments, operations, technology support, and compliance) to escalate and resolve agent-impacting issues.
  • Document common issues, solutions, and process improvements, and share updates with stakeholders to reduce repeat problems and improve the agent experience.

What You Can Bring:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • College coursework or an associate degree preferred, but not required.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Completion of company/industry training related to Medicare products, enrollment periods, and compliance is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance sales support, key account support, agency operations, recruiting support, field training, or a related role.
  • Understanding of Medicare.
  • Sales experience in the Medicare market.
  • Experience supporting agent onboarding and appointment/activation processes, including resolving access and portal-related issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training and coaching (webinars, group sessions, or one-on-one) that improves production outcomes.
  • Experience tracking, analyzing, and communicating performance results (e.g., production and recruiting metrics) to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of the insurance sales and agent lifecycle (recruiting, appointment, onboarding, activation, and ongoing production support).
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and related products (Medicare Supplement/Medigap, Medicare Advantage, and Part D), including enrollment periods (IEP, AEP, OEP, SEP) and common penalties (Part B and Part D late enrollment) to support accurate training and guidance.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret results and communicate insights to field leaders and partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills for webinars and in-person training.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot systems/process issues and drive resolution.
  • Strong organization and project management skills, including prioritization in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort learning new portals, CRMs, and reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for in-person training, seminars, and meetings.
  • Life and Health insurance license preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
