About the role:

The Assistant Director of Finance is an integral part of the Finance Division, who together with the Director of Finance collectively safeguards the hotel assets and financial resources to ensure all are utilized to maximize hotel profitability.

The primary responsibilities for this position is to ensure the Finance team to provide timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel leadership, ensuring the  hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures under the terms of the Management Agreement.

In addition, the following knowledge, skills and abilities are required:

  • A dynamic leader, with proven leadership skills who can manage the day-to-day operation of the Finance department.
  • The highest level of integrity and transparency is essential in this role.
  • Must have strategic, analytical and solid business acumen. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  • Relationship management is key for all stakeholders (internal, external, ownership and Four Seasons brand).
  • Ability to attract new, dynamic talent to Four Seasons who compliment the vision of the hotel.
  • A passion to mentor and develop the Finance team, ensuring optimum performance of the individuals and the team.
  • Preparation of all financial statements accruals and journal entries and maintain reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist Director of Finance with preparation of forecasts and budgets as required locally, by corporate office or management agreement.
  • Oversee the preparation of all local, state and federal tax returns on a timely basis.
  • Review the cash position of the hotel on a daily basis in order to optimize the use of funds.
  • The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment. Equally as important is the ability to lead the Finance team and broader operations team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.
  • Confident presenter with sound written and verbal communication skills that can articulate the business to all key stakeholders.
  • College Degree in Finance required (major in Accounting or Finance).

Salary Range: $133,000.00-$137,000.00
