Overview:

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our design team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual with an exceptional eye for elevated products and a strong portfolio showcasing their aesthetic sensibility and technical skills. The ideal candidate is highly fashionable, organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to all aspects of the design process.

This role will work closely with the Creative Director of Apparel Design and cross-functional teams, including product development, tech design, planning, production, and marketing, to ensure design execution aligns with the brand’s vision. Light travel to our Beverly Hills Headquarters will be required. Additionally, the Assistant Designer will support the Creative Director of Design in daily tasks, assist in creating line sheets, and help maintain an elevated, detail-driven approach to design.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Creative Director of Design in daily tasks, including research, organization, and design execution.
  • Support the development of collections and projects through trend, fabric, and trim research.
  • Assist with sketching, CADs, design sheets, and line sheet creation.
  • Organize and maintain design boards, fabric and trim libraries, and sample archives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of design concepts.
  • Support fittings and sample reviews, taking detailed notes and ensuring accurate updates.
  • Maintain organization of digital files, ensuring consistency across projects.
  • Enter and update design information in PLM software (experience is a plus)
  • Bring a strong sense of personal style and fashion awareness to contribute to the brand’s elevated aesthetic.
  • Light travel to our Beverly Hills Headquarters as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience (internships or relevant projects preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating an elevated aesthetic and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A highly fashionable individual with a strong sense of style and trend awareness.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for craftsmanship, luxury materials, and refined design.
  • Knowledge of PLM software is a plus.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed line sheets.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to support a Creative Director in apparel design, creative marketing, and styling

The base salary for this position is $68,640-$70,000 per year which represents the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
