The Role – Assembly Line Worker (Part-Time)

For our next generation tracking system, Dragon, the edge units will be housed in custom enclosures to be produced and assembled by an internal group. This group is also responsible for scheduling and managing the people that do assembly work and ensuring the proper supply of components is available to meet the assembly line production schedule.
The Assembly Line Worker will be responsible for assembling enclosures and parts on the production line and verifying that all parts and components are assembled correctly and in a timely manner under direction of a supervisor. Assembly will be done using your hands and tools requiring adequate precision and dexterity.
This role is a part-time position based in our L.A office. The hourly pay for this role is $18/hour and you can expect approximately 30 hours per week. A number of factors influence the specific offer, including seniority, and relevant educational and working experience. 

Specifically, you can expect to:

  • Follow verbal and written instructions in order to assemble components and products
  • Ensure the quality of parts and components used in the assembly process
  • Report any problems during assembly to supervisors
  • Test finished products for defects
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembly process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good mechanical acumen, be familiar with common hand tools and best practices for using them
  • Comfortable with programming and testing PCBAs (printed circuit board assemblies)
  • Able to read and interpret instructional documents
  • Can handle repetitive tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to solder is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a member of an assembly line or similar process
