The role: Senior Product Manager, Fan Engagement, Augmentation Tools
As a Senior Product Manager, Fan Engagement, reporting to the VP of Fan Engagement, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of our video augmentation tools for both VOD (client side) and live streaming. These tools, powered by real-time sports data from GeniusIQ, will redefine the sports viewing experience bringing graphics and next gen animations to live broadcasts and enabling exciting new alt casts to reach new fans (check out the recent MaddenCast we did together with the NFL, EA Sports, and NBC). You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, data-driven experiences that elevate fan engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for video augmentation across VoD and live broadcast streams.
- Develop intelligent overlays, graphics, ad formats, and metadata-driven visuals that enhance the viewing experience.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, production and broadcast operations to deliver scalable, low-latency solutions.
- Translate complex requirements into epics, user stories, and detailed product specs for agile development teams.
- Partner with AI/ML and computer vision teams to convert structured and unstructured data into real-time visual enhancements.
- Lead user research with broadcasters, rights holders, video platforms, and fans to identify needs and validate solutions.
- Stay ahead of market trends in AR, CTV, broadcast graphics, and real-time video personalization.
- Coordinate with product marketing and commercial teams to drive adoption and communicate product value.
- Act as a key voice for the product internally and externally, supporting customer conversations and cross-functional planning.
Position Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in video streaming, broadcast tech, or VoD environments.
- Proven track record building or managing video augmentation products (e.g., interactive overlays, live graphics, contextual content layers).
- Deep understanding of video infrastructure, including adaptive bitrate streaming (HLS/DASH), metadata triggers (SCTE 35, EMSG), encoding, and latency.
- Experience collaborating with AI, computer vision, or metadata tagging systems in a video or media context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform product decisions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities across technical and business teams.
- Familiarity with graphics engines (e.g., VizRT, Singular.live, Unreal Engine) or live production workflows.
- Experience in OTT/CTV, sports broadcasting, betting, or entertainment industries is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing long-term vision with near-term delivery.

The salary for this role is based on an annualized range of $165,000 - $200,000. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
