The Art Director will lead creative teams, develop design strategies, and oversee project production to deliver exceptional visual content.
Brand New School is seeking an Art Director for a full-time hybrid role at our Los Angeles studio. With ~65 employees across the United States, we are a tight community of talented artists and producers with one common goal - making great work.
Responsibilities
- Leading and inspiring teams of creatives and clients from idea conception through final delivery.
- Conceiving design strategies for pitches and projects for a variety of platforms.
- Working closely with creative directors and directors to usher projects through production.
- Assembling presentation decks and comfortably presenting ideas to clients.
- Creating designs, styleframes, and motion concepts for a variety of content.
- A genuine awareness of the creative challenges associated with producing exceptional work while satisfying the demands of clients.
- Interested in working and learning in a collaborative, creative and potentially fast-paced environment with like-minded individuals.
- Being an active participant of the team and contributing to the creative culture of the studio.
Qualifications
- Articulate, wildly creative and a problem solver.
- Ability to think through sequences and a variety of narrative structures.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma. After Effects is a bonus but not a mandate.
- Must be efficient, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- A portfolio/reel of work that conveys an ability to art direct high-level work for a variety of content types.
- Take creative direction, respond to feedback in a timely manner and be respectful of project deadlines.
- Awareness of the creative challenges associated with producing exceptional work while satisfying the demands of clients

Salary Range
$100,000 - $140,000
Brand New School attracts a team with unique skillsets and varying levels of experience. The salary range provided is broad and will be refined during the interview process.
