Join Our Mission: Help the Helpers with Jane

Let's kick things off with a quick intro. Jane is a team that's all about fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We're on the hunt for people ready to jump in and join us on our mission to simplify the lives of healthcare professionals daily. Jane is a remote-first company, meaning every role at Jane, including this one, is remote.

Learn More About Us

We’re founder-led, which means staying true to our values while keeping our eyes on the horizon. Our product enables the likes of physical therapists, mental health professionals, chiropractors and many more. It helps them to digitally streamline their practices with features like online booking, medical charting, scheduling, telehealth, secure payments and billing. Curious? Check out more features here.

We set the bar high, both for the quality of our work and how we treat each other and our customers. It's our customers who keep us striving for better, never settling for less and always improving. And for us, it’s just not about your past achievements or speedy work; we value curiosity, problem-solving skills, and an eagerness to learn.

Jane offers a level of autonomy and flexibility to balance work and life. Need to block out time to pick up the kids? Go for it. That's normal here. And yes, we have a Slack channel for parents, but we've also got channels dedicated to plants, furry friends, food, pride, wellness - you get the idea! While we love to connect virtually, the Jane team also connects in person throughout the year. That comes in the form of departmental get-togethers, company retreats, or possibly a conference or two across North America if you’re keen to learn more about our community of healthcare providers. We're on the search for folks who are ready to dive in and become part of our journey toward making healthcare professionals' lives easier.

You can also learn more about Jane as a company and a product by checking out our Glassdoor reviews and our Capterra reviews.

But let's keep it real – we're ambitious, and the mountain we're climbing is always getting taller. As we expand, we face the challenge of navigating a changing environment without a clear-cut path. That's where you come in. If you thrive on resourcefulness and relish problem-solving, you'll feel right at home.

We champion collaboration, humility, and a growth mindset. We're seeking individuals who can adapt to our dynamic work style, which often requires flexibility and a willingness to embrace change. So, if after reading this, you feel excited about the opportunity — all in the name of helping those who help others — we'd love to hear from you.

To sum it all up — if our ambition and growth excite you, if you're ready to contribute to a challenging yet rewarding environment, and if you're keen to disrupt the status quo alongside a team of talented folks, then we can't wait to meet you.

Your Role in Our Journey

If you light up at the thought of design that’s human, helpful and genuinely delightful—you’ll fit right in at Jane. We’re looking for an Art Director who brings all that (and more) to our growing team to lead the next evolution of our brand.

You’ll be the kind of creative lead who rolls up their sleeves and gets into the work—pushing pixels, crafting visuals, and building systems. But you’re also someone who lifts others up. You see coaching and mentorship not as extras, but as essential parts of your creative practice.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the rest of the design team, marketing colleagues, and cross-functional partners to evolve and elevate the Jane brand. Your work will touch campaigns, web experiences, social, and anything else that tells the Jane story out in the world. Most of all, you’ll help create work that is human, helpful and delightful.

The Impact You Could Have

  • Creative leadership on high-impact brand and marketing projects - bringing both strategic clarity and strong creative execution.
  • Mentorship and coaching for (but not management of) other designers on the team - giving thoughtful feedback, offering guidance, and helping folks grow.
  • Hands-on design work - developing and executing creative across channels: digital, social, campaigns, and more.
  • Brand evolution - helping us refine, stretch, and grow the Jane brand while staying true to our voice and values.
  • Owning the holistic brand ecosystem - ensuring consistency, coherence, and quality across every touchpoint where the Jane brand shows up.
  • Collaboration - working closely with Marketing, Product, and Brand partners to bring our stories to life in ways that connect.
  • Clear communication and storytelling - confidently presenting ideas to senior leadership, articulating creative rationale, and advocating for great work.

The Experience We Feel We Need

  • A seasoned designer with 8+ years of experience and a portfolio that blends craft, concept, and clarity.
  • Someone who’s done the work - but also knows how to step back, think big, and lead with intention.
  • A thoughtful, generous mentor who cares about helping others do their best work.
  • Strong creative instincts, but an even stronger sense of humility. You’re open, collaborative, and easy to work with.
  • Someone who brings positive energy into a room and loves being part of a team.
  • Someone who gets the process - not just the pixels. You know how to build ideas, bring others along, and move from concept to execution with clarity.
  • Someone who has a sense of curiosity and innovation - you’re always exploring, asking questions, and looking for fresh ways to tell stories and solve problems.
  • Someone who thrives with autonomy and ownership - you’re comfortable leading projects independently, making decisions, and driving work forward with confidence.
  • Someone who has a mindset of lifelong learning and exploration - you stay engaged, keep up with shifts in the industry, and are always evolving your craft.

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $94,400 to $147,500. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $112,100. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.

We believe in paying for growth. You’ll have regular career development conversations with your manager and your compensation will grow as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Paying clearly is one of our compensation fundamentals. Watch this short video to learn how our salary bands are set. You’re also encouraged to ask questions about compensation at any point during the interview process.

At Jane, we’re committed to fostering an environment that allows you to come to work as your truest self. We believe it’s important to actively recognize, embrace, and celebrate our differences in order to make Jane an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace.

We want to build a team of people who make conversations rich with perspective and experience. We are committed to listening to every voice in order to learn and grow because doing this will allow us to meet the needs of the diverse community of helpers that Jane serves.

Employment decisions are made based on how a candidate’s skills and experiences match the role and what they bring to the Jane community, assessed through a fair interview process.

We encourage anyone who requires accommodation or adjustments throughout the interview process to let us know, and we will do our best to support you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
