ThermalWorks has an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of an innovative company that’s on a journey to transform the world’s infrastructure.
We are seeking an Application Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between ThermalWorks products and their projects. You will review design drawings for accuracy and fit, work with customer design engineers on equipment application, support our estimating group with technical input, and provide engineering support to the project management team and ThermalWorks customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:
- Review design drawings and submittals for cooling system application accuracy — equipment selection, capacity, and hydronic configuration
- Interface with customer and consulting design engineers to assess and validate equipment application
- Support the estimating group with equipment selections and technical scope input for accurate proposals
- Provide engineering support to the project management team — technical questions, drawing conflicts, RFI and submittal responses
- Support customers with application and technical questions through installation and startup
- Feed field experience back into R&D and Product Development to improve products and quality
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in cooling equipment application or design review
- Expertise in data center cooling systems
- Experience with chillers, CDUs, and liquid cooling for AI or hyperscale deployments
- Applications engineering background at a cooling equipment manufacturer
- Fluent in mechanical design documents, schedules, and hydronic schematics
- Strong client communication skills — comfortable working directly with customer engineers and consultants
