As an Asia Pacific Swaps Client Servicing Middle Office Analyst within JPMorgan, you will be tasked with the responsibility of providing operational support to the Prime business and ensuring strict controls in daily client activities. Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams as part of the Equity Prime Middle Office.
Job responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for external clients on all operational issues including: valuations, collateral, settlements, documentation, audit, technology, account set up and legal documentation, client reporting
- Act as the first point of contact for Front Office Trading and Sales on Swap trade bookings / issue resolution
- Define and execute agenda for external clients, including best practice reviews, KPIs, surveys, and STP rates
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate trade capture and Attend quarterly review meetings with external clients
- Coordinate with global partners in middle office and client service to help drive process improvements, system changes and improve/maintain our client relationships
- Manage the communication of open issues to our clients and internal partners in a clear and concise manner, ensuring a full understanding of the issue
- Manage client queries, ensuring they are investigated and resolved in a timely fashion
- Manage trade life cycle; allocations, settlements, corporate actions, affirmations & regulatory reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with the relevant partners to deliver to the business
- Apply MIS and trend analysis to identify the root cause and partner with internal teams to resolve the issue
- Work closely with external clients, settlement teams and third party institutions to settle client trades
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry is required and Working understanding of Equities, Bonds, and Swap products; and their relevant process flows is a necessity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with marketers, external clients, traders and other support team
- Must be a self-starter with the motivation, demonstration of initiative, and ownership mentality to think outside of the box as necessary
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility and skillset to properly escalate issues to management, controls team and front office sales and trading teams
- Team Player, but also must be able to work independently in a highly organized manner
- Positive "Can Do" attitude and ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to drive and manage global initiatives and projects driven by the business, industry or operations and Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Effective communication skills required for quarterly review meetings with clients and Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to understand the external client's perspective when applying solutions
- Creative problem solving with a focus on improving / maintaining client relationships and exceptional attention to detail
- Must have excellent PC skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft excel, formula construction, and excel reconciliation solutions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Quick learner with ability to pick up complex systems architecture
- Knowledge of VBA / SQL and experience with digital tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, Tableau, Robotics, etc. would be advantageous
- Good understanding of derivatives regulatory knowledge is an advantage
